Happy New Year to all my friends, family, readers etc. This is probably the first year in my life that I did not make any NY Resolutions. I have many ideas and thoughts and I will strive hard to accomplish them but I will not set myself up for failure by making them a Resolution. Don and I spent NYE with our oldest and his family. It's was a joy and the love is fabulous. Our DIL says "there is no other place she would rather be"...I have to tell you, she is a wonderful young lady and she always goes out of her way to see us and make sure that her children do too. We have other family too and we know we are loved in their own way. We know life is about decisions and everyone has to be accountable for those decisions. I love with my heart and God knows where I am and where you are too at all times and what we are thinking. I think the most important thing is to focus on the good and let the rest go!
My life this year will be surrounded by first and foremost my need to be closer to God. I struggle with this but I know he never fails me and with that, I go forward. I continue to look for that "right" church and I know it is out there somewhere. Second, I will put my husband and home second, fulfilling my love of decorating and making things for our home first and then continue to randomly give where I want to give and feel good about it. Life is a gift...make the best of it.

I have come to learn that putting God first, all the other things just seem to fall into place. He has given me so many many blessings and I trust when bad times come that God will take care of me. He always has and always will.
I don't make resolutions either - just try to live each day the best I can. : )
